Alex Black was an ISA Certified Arborist. He died doing what he loved. He will not be forgotten. If you're in the Philadelphia, PA area, a service will be held for him on Wednesday, Dec. 12 at 10am. Obit in comments.

31 years old. Way way too young. May he rest easy.
Talking about tragedies like this can be unsettling, but if he died on the job this may be an opportunity for the rest of us to learn and hopefully avoid a similar accident. May I respectfully ask how it happened? If it's too soon to discuss, please don't feel obligated.
